FAQ

Are you currently accepting new patients?

Yes.

How do you see patients?

I see patients in person in Menlo Park, CA. I also see patients virtually. I am available in the evenings and on weekends.

What is Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP)?

CAP is a subspecialty within the field of Psychiatry. A psychiatrist completes a 2-year CAP fellowship to develop additional expertise. I developed expertise in ADHD, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, tics, and depression during my training in the Stanford General Child Psychiatry Clinic, Stanford Pediatric Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Clinic, Stanford Parenting Center, and Stanford School Mental Health Services.

Why are there multiple parts to the evaluation?

Your story is unique and it takes time to tell it. In between parts of the evaluation and with your permission, I speak with other members of your care team to get the most complete picture. This is particularly important for children and adolescents who may be facing challenges in different areas of their lives. Most importantly, you deserve the time to have all your questions and concerns addressed.

What if I already have a therapist?

With your permission, I am happy to work collaboratively with your therapist to support you.

Do you take health insurance?

To provide more personalized care, I do not accept insurance or partake in single-case agreements.

Can I still use my health insurance?

Yes. Please contact your insurance company to learn about your out-of-network benefits. I provide superbills that can be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

What if I am unable to make it to a scheduled visit?

It's okay, life happens. Please cancel or reschedule 48 hours before the visit.

Do you have legal disclaimers?
